In January 2012, EVO Payments International and Deutsche Bank executed a joint marketing and processing agreement.
The relationship expanded in November 2012 when EVO agreed to acquire 100% of Deutsche Card Services GmbH, formerly the merchant acquiring subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG. Based in Cologne, Germany, Deutsche Card Services was managed by a talented team of dedicated employees which transitioned to EVO. Concurrent to closing, Deutsche Card Services was rebranded EVO Payments International GmbH. The transaction included a long-term strategic relationship under which the Global Transaction Banking division of Deutsche Bank exclusively refers pan-European corporate customers to EVO for card acquiring services.
Deutsche Bank is among the largest banks in the world by assets and boasts significant client presence throughout the region.
